Growth of digital marketing in India


With E-commerce business and cloud based services growing up many young adults of India are choosing Digital marketing as their career option , With increase in demand for professionals in various fields of SEO , Social marketing , Data analytics growth seems to be promising , not only technical graduates but graduates from other fields who are tech savvy are getting job opportunities. Every one in five students, who holds a technical degree in computer applications is keen to start a career in E-commerce firm as either a web-designer, application development or social media manager.
A large opportunity available in Indian Subcontinent is attracting major global players in E-Commerce firms like Amazon, Alibaba, Snap Deal to expand operations with an annual hiring exceeding 10,000 from past three years and have set target to hire more than 40,000 professionals in the coming years.

A huge revolution for digital marketing is pushing most of the firms to hire candidates in forming special teams for both online marketing and social media marketing. Recently, Reliance has invested in India’s online Megastore Flipkart.com and Tata group opting to fund Snapdeal.com. There’s a constant demand for web designers, application developers, Cloud computing, mobile computing and social analytics.

The growing Indian Economy, after the global recession is making the country to move forward from being a traditional market based economy to a digital market economy, opening doors for many aspiring students to choose digital marketing as a primary career. Digital Marketing is so much more than E-Commerce and the only way for someone who is interested to learn about it, is through self-effort and a handful of institutes like Web Marketing Academy (WMA).
